For Irish Solicitors

Build your reputation as the solicitor people find first.

Verified contributors on Legals.ie review plain-English answers to common Irish legal questions. Get found by qualified prospects researching their problem — not just shopping for a lawyer.

Why join

The right kind of inbound, from informed prospects

Most legal marketing puts you in front of people who are price-shopping. Legals.ie puts you in front of people who’ve already researched their issue — and now want a solicitor who clearly knows it.

Qualified inbound

Readers who arrive at a Q&A or topic page about your specialty have already researched their issue. When they reach out, they’re ready for a real conversation about their case — not a tyre-kick.

Editorial credibility

Your name appears alongside each answer you review. That builds reputation the same way being quoted in the Irish Times does — slowly, but with compounding return.

Profile that converts

Your profile page shows your firm, specialisations, languages, fee, and answers you’ve reviewed. Prospects can book a consultation directly through your Calendly — no Legals.ie commission, no referral fee.

No per-lead fees

Section 62 of the Solicitors Act 1954 prohibits per-enquiry fees between platforms and solicitors. We respect that. You pay a flat annual subscription and own every enquiry that comes through.

Light editorial workload

We do the writing. You review for accuracy. Typical review takes 10-20 minutes per answer. Most contributors review 4-8 answers per quarter.

SEO that compounds

Every answer you review is indexed by Google. Over 12-18 months, this builds organic visibility in your area of practice — and visibility you’d otherwise pay agencies €2K+/month to generate.

Common Questions

Things solicitors usually ask

  • Does Legals.ie take referral fees from my consultations?

No. Section 62 of the Solicitors Act 1954 prohibits per-enquiry fees between marketing platforms and solicitors in Ireland, and the LSRA enforces this. We take a flat annual subscription from contributors. Every enquiry, consultation, and instruction belongs entirely to you and your firm.

  • How much time will reviewing take?

A typical answer review takes 10-20 minutes. We send you the editorial draft, you check it for accuracy, suggest changes if needed, and approve. Most Verified Contributors review 1-2 answers per month. Featured Pro contributors review more if they want to.

You’re never obligated to take an assignment. If you’re busy or out of your specialty, just decline.

  • What if I disagree with the editorial team’s draft?

You’re the legal expert. If the draft is wrong, we change it. If it’s a matter of nuance or framing, we work with you. Final published content carries your name as reviewer — you have veto power.

This is genuinely a editorial review relationship, not just rubber-stamping. We expect contributors to push back when the draft is off, and we update our drafting process based on patterns of feedback.

  • Can I review answers outside my specialty?

We strongly prefer you stick to your declared areas of practice. The reviewing solicitor’s credibility is tied to topic expertise — a property solicitor reviewing employment law content undermines the trust signal for both of you.

If you want to expand your declared specialties, we can update your profile and start sending you assignments in the new area.

  • What does my profile look like to readers?

Your profile shows: your name and credentials, firm, county, areas of expertise (with reviewed answer count per area), languages spoken, fixed-fee consultation rate, Calendly booking link, brief professional bio, and the answers you’ve reviewed.

Featured Pro tier also gets a publications and commentary section if you’ve written for trade publications.

See our existing solicitor profiles for examples.

  • How do consultations work?

Each profile includes your fixed-fee consultation rate and a Calendly booking link. Readers book directly with you. The fee is paid to your firm — Legals.ie takes no commission and never processes payments on your behalf.

We strongly recommend setting a clear fixed fee for initial consultations (typically €95-€150 for 30 minutes). Variable or “from €X” pricing tends to underconvert.

  • Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, cancel anytime. Your profile remains visible until the end of your current billing period, then is archived. Existing answers you’ve reviewed remain published with your name unless you specifically request removal.

  • What if I’m not yet on the Solicitors Roll but I’m a barrister or in-house counsel?

We’re primarily focused on solicitors and barristers in practice. If you’re a barrister, get in touch — we list a small number of barrister contributors. In-house counsel, retired solicitors, and legal academics are reviewed case by case.
